Alex Terpstra Chief Executive Officer Alex Terpstra led the creation of Civolution as a spin out from Philips in 2008 and subsequently executed two acquisitions for Civolution - Teletrax in 2008 and Thomson STS in 2009. After initially working in the television content production industry, Alex built his professional career further at Philips. From the early 1990s Alex was involved in the digitalization of television broadcasting and held various managerial positions in project and product management, sales, marketing and business development. In 2003 Alex was appointed General Manager of Philips ’ conditional access business CryptoWorks. In January 2007 Alex was appointed CEO of the Philips Content Identification with the assignment to accelerate its growth, which led to the spin-out as a standalone company Civolution 2008. He is a frequent speaker in his role as an industry thought-leader at key global events. Andy Nobbs Chief Commerical Officer Andy Nobbs is Civolution ’s Chief Commercial Officer, managing all commercial, client services, sales and marketing activities. Prior to Civolution, Andy was President at Teletrax, the only global broadcast intelligence service, where he oversaw all aspects of Teletrax's worldwide activities including strategy management, business development, operations, and sales and marketing. Andy was formerly Content Director at IPC Media where he successfully accelerated and leveraged the exploitation and the revenue growth of IPC's intellectual properties, ranging from television, the internet and printed media. He has previously worked in executive positions for ITV and EMAP. Stefan Wiezer Chief Financial Officer Stefan Wiezer joined civoluion as CFO in March 2010. Stefan, a certified accountant (RA) started his professional career at KPMG's international audit practice. In 2000 he joined Tele Atlas where Stefan built his experience in high growth technology companies. Tele Atlas went through an IPO early in 2000. After various acquisitions and a second public offering in 2005, Tele Atlas was again sold to Tom Tom in 2008. Hans van de Ven Senior Vice President Business Development Hans joined Philips Content Identification in April 2007 as business development manager MediaHedge. He has a background in engineering augmented with an MBA. Hans has a strong track record in developing successful new businesses and partnerships. Philips Content Identification became Civolution in October 2008. Wim Bus Senior Vice President Product Management Wim has a background in engineering and has an extensive experience in Product Management and Business Development in the security and digital TV domain. In his latest positions he worked as a Business consultant for LogicaCMG and as Director Digital TV products for Philips and Irdeto. In February 2007, Wim was appointed as Director of Business Development PayTV within Philips Content Identification. Philips Content Identification became Civolution in October 2008. Jaap Haitsma Chief Technology Officer Jaap was appointed Chief Technology Officer within Philips Content Identification in July 2004.
