As summer rolls toward it’s offical end, the Bluegrass is alive with Festivals, a few of which kick-off this week in Bardstown, Danville and Liberty. This Tuesday, September 15 (also known as today), the Kentucky Bourbon Festival starts it’s six day run in Bardstown. The Kentucky Bourbon Festival gives you a weekend full of smooth Bourbon, delicious food, and great entertainment, with a healthy dose of Kentucky hospitality thrown in for good measure. From black tie galas to historical tours, there is something for all ages and interests. It’s a wonderful five-day event full of activities for the whole family. The “Clementine Crush Old Fashioned” is the offical drink fo the 2009 Kenntucky Bourbon Festival. Get the recipe here . The Bourbon Festival has always been one of our favorites since we moved to the Bluegrass several years ago. We’ll see you there. The Constitution Square Arts Fest will take place on September 18, 19, 20, 2009 in downtown Danville, Kentucky. It’s the 31st year for the popular festival, and what better way to celebrate than with a new name, expanded offerings and a stronger emphasis on the arts! There are a record number of exhibitors (147) who look forward to providing a memorable event for you and yours. This year, in addition to all the usual Festival fun, we are pleased to announce The 2009 Miss Constitution Square Arts Fest. The pageant is open to all ladies between the ages of 16 and 21. The winner will qualify to attend the Kentucky Festival State Finals in Lexington on November 14 & 15, 2009.
