Description

The name Clamco is a contraction of Cleveland Lathe & Machine Company which was established early in the century and was one of the first manufacturers of heat sealing equipment in the late 1940's. The Cleveland Lathe & Machine Company was merged into Cleveland-Detroit Corporation in 1953. Through October 1, 1969, Clamco was operated as a division of Cleveland-Detroit Corporation. Thereafter, Clamco was reorganized as a separate corporation and operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cleveland-Detroit Corporation until December, 1972, at which time all of the shares of Clamco were distributed to the shareholders of Cleveland-Detroit Corporation and Clamco became an independently operated company. Although ownership changed hands in 1981, Clamco remains a privately owned and operated company today. With a background of over 50 years in the manufacture of heat sealing and packaging equipment, Clamco enjoys a high degree of name recognition and has emerged as a leader in the industry.CLAMCO CORPORATION has been in business for over 50 years and is well known throughout the industry as a leader in the manufacture of quality heat sealing and shrink wrap packaging machinery.
