Clark Nexsen is one of the oldest and largest Architecture and Engineering firms headquartered in Virginia. Founded in 1920 by Pendleton S. Clark, FAIA, we provide architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, fire protection engineering, as well as planning services for clients throughout the U.S. and overseas.

K-12 projects have been a core component of our practice for over 20 years. Our passion is to create school environments that make a difference in how students learn, while making a difference in their lives. Clark Nexsen's vast portfolio responds directly to the community, the curriculum delivery methods, and the students that occupy them. We understand that students are impacted by the spaces they learn in.

Clark Nexsen has designed numerous commercial development projects working with many different state and municipal agencies and private entities to develop residential subdivisions, mixed-use developments, financial institutions, higher education centers and research centers. We have prepared master plans for higher education campuses, subdivisions, local parks and government installations. We provide a spectrum of commercial and land development services, ranging from zoning applications and feasibility studies to site plan construction documents.
