Dave is the driver in this business – he is our business visionary, our product expert, installation guru, and technology whiz. Ultimately, he takes responsibility for ensuring that all of our projects are completed to our customer’s expectations and satisfaction. Dave leads our Shade on Demand team in automation projects for interior window coverings, exterior solar screens and retractable awnings. He provides pre-wire consultations, system design and integration with home automation systems, installation and programming.

Classic Coverings was originally founded in 1988 by Jan Clifton, a long-time local, who served her customers with integrity and style until her retirement in 2003. At that time, Dave and Mari Latimer purchased the business from Jan, assuring her that the business would continue to operate with a focus on customer satisfaction, quality products and quality service. In July of 2006, after being nominated by Hunter Douglas Northwest to participate in the Hunter Douglas Gallery program, our new Gallery on the west side of Bend opened.
