Privately owned and locally managed, we provide a level of service and technical expertise found at a large corporation but delivered by a local team who can make decisions at the customer’s site. Through our carefully-trained workforce we are able to provide high-quality, customized service so our customers can focus on their core business.

CleanPower was founded in Milwaukee in 1969 and was Wisconsin’s first commercial carpet cleaning company. Within a few years, CleanPower was providing full janitorial services in the Milwaukee area. Excellent employment practices, loyal customers and a proven business model led CleanPower to expand service to communities throughout southern and central Wisconsin, beginning with Fond du Lac (1980), Madison (1986), Appleton (1990), Green Bay (1992), Racine (1994), Sheboygan (1994), Wausau (2008) and Stevens Point (2009).

In 2007, CleanPower acquired the Sun Cleaning Group, adding talent, resources, new market areas and expanded specialty services offerings to the organization’s existing strengths. In 2009, CleanPower acquired the central Wisconsin Branch of Marsden Bldg Maintenance from our parent company, Marsden Holding. This change has allowed us to expand operations throughout the entire state of Wisconsin, and better serve our customers with multiple locations in Wisconsin.

CleanPower also has nationwide capabilities through Marsden Services, our parent company. Marsden Services is one of the largest privately owned security and facility service providers in the United States. It is comprised of a unique family of operating companies who each maintain an outstanding reputation in the markets they serve. With CleanPower for over 4 years, Shelonda did take a break to help her mother following surgery. “It’s the people,” she says. “They make you want to come back and to stay.” Employees like Shelonda are always welcomed back when the time is right for them.
