Mr. J.K. and J.W. Harman began working right out of high school and at 18 and 19 yrs of age, they started a company called Harman Bros. Beginning work with only one chainsaw and an old international truck, the two began logging timber. Harman Bros. began branching out from timber logging, to doing more custom work, such as house sites and installing septic tanks. Harman Bros transitioned into Cleco Corporation over the years.
