Though he completed his studies on the west coast, Dr. Horner was eager to return to Cleveland and joined his father, the late Dr. Samuel H. Horner, Jr., in the practice of optometry. Father and son created Cleveland Optometric Vision center in 1985 and established their family practice in the same downtown storefront that has been used by the Horner family for more than 120 years. Dr. Horner is proud to continue the family business in serving the people of East Tennessee and tending to their vision health.

Cleveland Optometric Vision Center was founded in 1985 by Dr. Sam H. Horner, Jr. and his son, Dr. Sam H. Horner, III. While this partnership was created 28 years ago, the Horner family had been in the optometry business for much longer than that. Four generations of Horner optometrists have worked in the office located at 40 2 nd Street in downtown Cleveland, and we are proud of this history of service in assisting and treating generations of patients. Preventative treatment is essential to ensuring continued visual health.
