Cline Tours was founded by Johnny Cline after his retirement from Trailways Bus Lines in 1983. While Mr. Cline offered charter bus services, he specialized in escorted tours for groups. Mr. Cline had a dynamic personality and was very well respected in the industry. He left an impression on those who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him. Johnny Cline had been in the charter bus business for nearly 50 years, when he sold Cline Tours to its current owner, John McCommon, in 1996. Mr. McCommon was aware of the outstanding reputation earned by Mr. Cline and felt the company’s name should remain Cline Tours. John McCommon purchased Cline Tours with only one motorcoach in operation. Now, our fleet has 60 school buses in operation at Camp Shelby, Hattiesburg, MS, and 60 – 56 passenger motorcoaches and 16 mini buses between all locations. Cline Tours has one of the largest mini bus fleets available, making us a leader in contract and corporate shuttle service. Our reputation for fair rates, an impeccable safety record, excellent service and new equipment, continues our commitment to provide the best charter service available. Cline Tours is associated with a national network of charter bus companies and organizations to offer support nationwide. We now have locations in four states, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. Cline Tours has been recognized by Metro Magazine as “one of the most innovative charter bus companies in the United States” for our unique customer standards. In January of 2009, Cline Tours was awarded “Business of the Year” by the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce!
