The beauty of creation has always been a source of hope and inspiration to us, even though these daily blessings are so often overlooked -- blinded as we are by our worries and preoccupations. Yet, when we take the time to wonder at the beauty of things underfoot, and dwell on the care and foresight that goes into creating and sustaining even the (seemingly) least significant of creations, we are led -- if we allow it -- to better understand our own value. Even though we may not see it, we are each things of beauty, reflecting the God who created us (and, given our "Yes", continues to shape us) in His own image. As such, we each have an inestimable -- and eternal -- value. This, too, we often overlook... in ourselves and others.
