Description

Bill Huntley developed a love for woodworking while studying industrial arts Rhode Island College. As an active member of The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen throughout the seventies and eighties he served as a woodworking juror and exhibited his whimsical articulated sculpture at various galleries, including a show at the Smithsonian featuring NH craftspeople and an honorable mention at the Sunapee juried exhibit in 1979. Bill's article, Dragonfly, was published in Fine Woodworking magazine in 1978 and subsequently reprinted in two of Taunton Press's anthologies of woodworking. An abrupt shift in focus occurred when friends hired him to design and build custom hardwood cabinets for their very unique high ceilinged kitchen that led him into the custom remodeling and finish carpentry business over the last twenty years.
