Description

Our company's roots go back to 1967 and the attic of a prominent Twin Cities country club when the club installed an IBM System III mainframe computer to process its own billing. The accounting software was initially designed by a small group of people including a few club managers and a programmer. Soon afterward, membership billing services were offered to other clubs in the area and a separate company was incorporated in the early 1970s to manage the project: Club Data Corporation. In the latter-half of the 1970's, Club Data's focus changed from providing processing services to providing accounting software for PC-based club offices. Club Data's Club Management System (CMS) for DOS was born and Club Data stepped into the limelight as one of the major club software providers in the country. In 1985 we became one of the charter resellers for what is now called InfoTouch Store Manager. For more than twenty years, Club Data has been instrumental in the ongoing development of this award-winning specialty retail POS product from InfoTouch Corporation. Throughout the 1980's and 1990's and with the new interest in POS, Club Data created custom interfaces to various POS systems to import their sales transactions into our CMS Accounting System, thus extending the ability of clubs to service their members while recording sales more efficiently and automatically.
