M ost typical monitoring apps collect a variety of statistics and data such as CPU or circuit utilization, but lack the sophistication to provide meaningful accounting for services running on the network. Services are tangible, typically customer facing and consumable products that are revenue affecting. Examples include television channels running atop a satellite or cable network or a multi-site VPN for a large global enterprise. For the satellite or cable provider, each channel is a service provided by different content providers.

Richard has over 30 years of experience in technology and the network management industry. He founded CodeMettle in 2009 with the most experienced technical team in the industry and the acquisition of an established service organization. Prior to CodeMettle, Richard founded and built the world’s leading network management company for complex networks, ILC, and led it for 14 years as its MaxView product grew to a leading position before its sale in late 2006. Prior to ILC, Richard managed the design, development, and integration of free-space radiating radar environment simulators.

As the Chief Technical Officer and Chief Architect of CodeMettle, Cliff Ford provides the technical leadership to the development of the CodeMettle software platform. Cliff became CTO of CodeMettle through the merger with Perfected Networks, the company he founded as a software services company for customers in the broadcast industry. At Perfected Networks, Cliff led a team of engineers to provide technological solutions for Engineering and Operations groups responsible for satellite transmission of video content.
