Welcome to the Coffee Cottage! We are a locally owned and operated coffee shop that has been operating since 1991 on Metairie Road. As a former Pastry Chef, I felt that coffee shops were not selling the quality pastries to match their coffees, so I decided to open a pastry shop disguised as a coffee shop. Since 1991 we have grown from a little coffee shop to a destination spot. We have developed several signature items such as currant scones, Crawfish King Cake , focaccia sandwiches, as well as praline coffee cake and a tiramisu roll. We also have had a booth at the Jazz Fest since 1997 selling our Crawfish Strudel and White Chocolate Bread Pudding. I am a graduate of Culinary Institute of America and a local chef who grew up in the area. We are the only coffee shop to be featured in the Great Chefs TV series and appear regularly on WDSU morning and noon broadcasts.
