Admitted to the practice of law in Idaho in 1984, John Sahlin has been mediating for over 20 years. Since 2001, his practice has been devoted exclusively to alternative dispute resolution modalities– primarily mediation, Guardian ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator– with a focus on high-conflict custody cases. In such cases he has organized or participated in multi-disciplinary teams for the benefit of the parents and children involved, and thus is very familiar and comfortable with a collaborative approach to conflict management.
