Colonnade Distribution Limited was established to provide a means by which the owner of a value added distribution, assembly, or light manufacturing company can achieve the personal liquidity required by prudent estate planning and participate in the future success of their business. We seek to buy excellent businesses in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia from founders and owners who are approaching retirement age and do not have children in the business. Our goal is to perpetuate these businesses, achieve long-term capital appreciation, and preserve the philisophies that made the company successful. We are not venture capital or institutional investors with a five to seven year investment horizon. We have a multi-generational ownership perspective and hope that future generations of our existing shareholders families will continue to own the businesses we are acquiring today.
