Color Retouching is a full service color production studio with dedicated professionals that offer many years of experience and talent in the creative imaging and pre-press production environment. Color Retouching has been in business since 1970 . At that time retouching was performed on transparencies using masks and dyes until the digital age came forth. The digital age: The 80's brought the Scitex digital imaging system. this was a new way of performing complex blends, brush, montage etc and it was the future of digital imaging. Although now obsolete this system could perform incredible tasks that required a high imaging database and archive system. With the industry changing very rapidly, soon came the Macintosh which offered drawing and painting opened the door for desktop publishing. Soon photo retouching and manipulation was taking place on desktop computers, but only a few could afford the high cost of the ram and hardware necessary. Along came the drum scanner and proofing systems. The final addition, the imagesetter and film processor, all capable of final pre-press production. These systems allowed us to incorporate quality imaging with desktop publishing. Today, times are still changing fast and we're dedicated to make your projects a smooth success.
