Description

Colorado Bright Beginnings is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the healthy growth and development of Colorado children during the critical first three years of life. Bright Beginnings hopes to influence all Colorado children to reach their full potential to succeed in school and throughout life by educating parents with high quality, developmentally appropriate materials and tools. Bright Beginnings' programs are offered at no cost to any interested family with a child prenatal to age three in Colorado without regard to income, age, or any other eligibility criteria. Statewide programs are provided by 14 regional affiliates actively collaborating in local communities throughout Colorado. Bright Beginnings was founded in 1995 by Brad Butler, former Chairman of Procter and Gamble and former Colorado Governor Roy Romer in an effort to make Colorado the best place to raise a child. Since that time, communities across Colorado have joined in this effort. Since 1995, Bright Beginnings has provided support and early education to over 100,000 Colorado families. In 2006 alone, the program reached just over 12,000 new families!
