Yes. It is concrete and all concrete can crack. We install a heavy mat of wire mesh to help prevent cracking. However, due to varying environmental conditions and foundation shapes, it is better to control any possible cracking by installing control joints based on a maximum slab area of 100 square feet. Are there any extra drilled piers required? No, not generally, however, there are exceptions. We may require an additional pier if the spans get too long.
