First National Bank Offices in Columbus and Norfolk First National Bank was originally chartered in 1906. Chartered as the German National Bank, the name was changed to the Central National Bank during World War I. The Central National Bank name stayed in place until 1961 when the current name First National Bank and Trust Company was chosen.
