Alan R. Friedman is a senior financial and management professional with over thirty years experience. His industry experience includes manufacturing, distribution, financial and service companies. In addition, he has worked with chemical companies, wire rod manufacturers, large format graphic printers, private-label packagers, contractors, law firms and banks. He has been Vice President of Finance for a privately-held specialty chemical manufacturer, Group Controller for a Netherlands-based manufacturer and distributor of machine tool parts and accessories, and a management consultant with a big four CPA firm. While with the chemical manufacturer, he provided the infrastructure to support a six-fold increase in sales with a larger improvement in profitability. His background includes mergers and acquisitions, turnarounds and workouts, bank financing, cash flow management and forecasting, business process improvement and cost and profitability analysis. He has also lectured frequently on cost accounting, budgeting and profit planning.

Mr. Handler has over 25 years of professional experience in commercial financial transactions, with most of his involvement in managing turnaround situations and other financially distressed financial matters. He has handled business reorganizations, acquisitions, mergers, court-supervised receiverships, sales and liquidations across the country and in a wide variety of industries. He recently participated in the reorganization of a $200 million nutritional supplement distributor, the sale of a regional coin vending operation, the liquidation and out-of-court composition plan of an internet video management firm and the reorganization of a $500 million paper manufacturer. As a founding member and general counsel to commercial lending divisions of each of Bank of America and The CIT Group, Mr. Handler was responsible for the growth and success of each company’s commercial loan portfolio.

Successfully competed in the Consumer Products, Construction, Industrial, and Commercial market sectors for both public and privately held firms in the United States as well as the European Union. Orchestrated several multi-million dollar acquisitions in both the US and Great Britain. Possess extensive distribution experience in the mass retail, industrial, e-commerce, mail order, rental, and STAFDA (Specialty Tools and Fasteners Distributors Association) distribution channels. Named on various design and utility patents.
