For each of the videotapes, the CCA secures one local host organization to cover expenses associated with bringing that education DVD to their chosen congressional district(s). A representative from the hosting organization appears on the DVD in opening and closing remarks. The CCA provides sponsors with a suggested script for these segments, which can be tailored to fit the hosting organization\'s needs. The CCA arranges for the local host to be taped at a location of their convenience. The CCA handles all other aspects of the program, including coordinated, production and distribution of DVDs. Many organizations, including Harley-Davidson and Alcoa, choose to host videos in more than one congressional district. In addition to providing sponsors with thank you notes received from DVD recipients in their district, the CCA can provide sponsors with a two-minute video clip highlighting their sponsorship, which can be used on their website. In addition, the CCA can undertake efforts to make local media outlets aware of the organization’s involvement with the CCA. ', WIDTH, 320)">Hosts The CCA distributes free educational DVDs, on behalf of local sponsoring organizations, to all public and private schools, community and junior colleges and some public libraries, cable television stations and chambers of commerce in each congressional district. Tens of thousands of people in each district and over 30 million people across the country have viewed these custom-made educational videotapes. Our surveys of high schools found that 100% of those with whom we spoke indicated routine use of the CCA videotapes. In addition, the CCA receives hundreds of thank you notes a year from DVD recipients. Only 30% of the schools surveyed indicated that they had in their library any civic-related videos other than those provided by the CCA. In a focus group at a senior high school, 100% of the students said they would recommend the videotape for classroom use. In another survey, the number of students who indicated they understood how Congress works increased from 20% to 90% following their viewing of the CCA DVD.
