The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families was built on a foundation of policy and advocacy. Through the policy center, we provide Latino communities with an active policy voice in critical areas of need—child welfare, early care, and education.

CHCF believes a true committment to Child Welfare involves overall child well-being. All CHCF program areas and policy initiatives are founded in the belief that by supporting children and families in critical areas of need, such as health, education, and child care, we can prevent child abuse and neglect, and keep families healty and intact.

CHCF’s policy center is dedicated to increasing voter participation and civic engagement amongst the Latino communities in New York. As the Latino population continues to grow, there is an increase in the number of eligible Latino voters.

We use a third party provider to provide this service and this information is never knowingly shared with any other third party. CHCF is dedicated to providing safe and developmentally appropriate after-school care at two school sites in the Bronx, PS/MS 279 and PS 59, for approximately 320 children.
