EP This coffee is exported by a family owned company that has been purchasing, preparing, and exporting coffee from this region for over 40 years. The coffee is grown and harvested by small to large farms throughout Oaxaca in the Pluma region. The coffee produced is smooth, sweet, full-bodied, with caramel and cinnamon flavors and medium acidity.

(Full City Roast) Not your typical Central American bean! Moderate acidity, but with a full round body and a hint of cocoa. . The Santa Rita Farm is located on the slopes of the Ilamatepec Volcano in Northern El Salvador. The coffee is 100 percent shade grown, and these important shade trees also serve as a home to a number of native exotic birds and other animals. All the coffee is selectively hand-picked. In addition to coffee production, Santa Rita also places an importance on social and environmental consciousness, including supplying local communities with health services and infrastructure for educational advancement. The Salaverria group has owned Santa Rita farm for over 10 years, and during this time, a volcanic eruption took place. The workers, their families and the Salaverria group have worked hard to rebuild the farm, and make improvements.

SHP EP - Based in the Segovia region of northern Nicaragua, Promotora de Desarollo Cooperativo de las Segovias (PRODECOOP) was established in 1993 in order to provide credit and technical assistance to its members and to access the specialty coffee market. With over 500 women, strong leadership, committed members and close relationships with multiple buyers this is a remarkably successful cooperative, allowing PRODECOOP to function independently of external aid or loans. Dipilto is a mountainous zone that hosts Nicaragua’s highest peaks, with an extraordinary biodiversity. The small municipality of Dipilto is considered Nicaragua’s leading zone in terms of coffee production and quality.

SHB (City Roast) La Berlina Estate Coffee Farm was founded in the 1900’s by Segundo Diaz, a Colombian soldier sent to Panama. Small coffee plants and seeds could be found in the rainforest. While the coffee plants were growing, Diaz and his family built a farm and a sugar cane mill. Despite the rising costs, Diaz’s son, Don Manuel, continued to work on and run the coffee farm. Today, La Berlina Estate is known throughout the world, and its coffee is highly regarded. This “strictly hard” Central American bean offers a very sweet, well balanced cup with medium body, pleasant crisp acidity, and a rich smooth finish.
