Carla is a Board Recognized Specialist in Fluency Disorders, and has been working with dysfluent clients of all ages for over 20 years. We offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment for both children and adults. We work with each individual client to develop goals, with the outcome being to freely express one’s thoughts and ideas, within a reasonable level of comfort.

Communication Therapy Associates (CTA) is a Speech-Language Pathology private practice in Hadley, MA. Located about a mile from I-91, we serve clients from all over western Massachusetts. We offer a wide range of services for children, adolescents and adults who have communication difficulties. The practice was founded in 2004 by two experienced Speech-Language Pathologists, Carla Bernier, M.A., CCC-SLP, BRS-FO and Abby Jaffe, M.A., CCC-SLP, in recognition of a growing need for more intensive and individualized services.

Abigail B. Jaffe, MA, CCC-SLP , one of the founding members of CTA, is a licensed, certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She has been evaluating and treating individuals with communication disorders since 1995. She has worked in multiple settings, including Baystate Medical Center, schools and private practice. Abby has worked with children, adolescents and adults, and developed expertise in a number of clinical treatment areas.

Marcil J. Boucher, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is a licensed, certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She has been evaluating and treating individuals with communication disorders since 2009. She completed her doctoral program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013. Marcil has worked in early intervention and private practice. Marcil has worked with children and adolescents and has developed expertise in a number of clinical treatment areas. Her clinical interests include pragmatics/social communication challenges, motor speech disorders, literacy, and childhood speech and language disorders.
