Our Housing Division will have two (2), three bedroom homes with attached garage available just north of the Sterling Food Plaza in Veedersburg. These single-family rentals are available for qualifying families. Applications can be picked up at our Covington office or sent by mail. The units are renting for $500.00 per month. Tenant pays utilities. These are energy star rated homes that will have minimal utility bills. Contact Donna Van Etta at 765-793-4881 for more information. Early Head Start received an expansion grant from the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Head Start. In addition to their current services they will be adding a caseload of 12 children to expand services in Fountain and Vermillion counties. The grant will also allow Early Head Start to offer full-day/full-year childcare services for children 18 to 36 months of age at the Montgomery county location. The Montgomery toddler classroom will provide services for eight children. Early Head Start provides a variety of services to low income families including; weekly home visits, parenting tips, connection to community services, services for children with disabilities, fun family activities, children’s play groups, health information, and information about pregnancy.
