Description

CDSC trains students in middle and high schools to mediate peer conflicts. As mediators, teens acquire meaningful skills for handling conflict throughout their lives. Past experience: For over 15 years, CDSC was a part of the mediation program known as SCORE (Student Conflict Resolution Experts) , co-funded by the Office of the Attorney General and the school. CDSC developed and supervised a very successful peer mediation program in at Northeast Metro Tech, a regional vocational school serving a diverse population of 1,175 students from 12 communities north of Boston.

You can become a "Friend of CDSC" by: Donating to our annual Friends Appeal anytime throughout of the year Sponsoring the Gala, CDSC's signature fundraising event, by selecting a level of Sponsorship or being a Table Host Volunteer CDSC's roster of pro bono Mediators is comprised of over 65 volunteers who all donate their time and expertise as mediators.

For those who want to supplement basic mediation training with hands-on experience, CDSC offers a supervised mediation program. Newly-trained and less experienced mediators are provided an opportunity to: Observe actual mediations. Co-mediate with more experienced mediators. Receive supervision and feedback to improve skills. Getting Started Choose to begin your Practicum with 5 or 10 sessions, with the option to extend your experience in 5-session increments.

We provide sensitive, impartial, trained mediators to help, gay, lesbian, and transgendered disputants reach mutually acceptable solutions in a confidential atmosphere. Our mediators offer the understanding necessary to resolve a variety of conflict involving GLBT issues.

Community Dispute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, depends on grants, nominal client fees and the generosity of donors to continue providing high quality mediation services to the community.
