Community Lending Group, Inc. was established in October 2004 by Brett Andersen and Brad Taylor. A few months later Jeremy Smith joined the team and the four owners set out to create a mortgage company that was built on a foundation of trust, integrity and honesty. We strive to treat our clients and our employees with the utmost respect that they deserve. Lending in this day and age can be challenging and we are confident that our qualified team of mortgage professionals can make the home buying or refinancing process easy.

After graduating from B.Y.U. in 1999 I started working in the mortgage industry and spent the next 8 years working for banks such as World Savings & Loan, Washington Mutual, and IndyMac. The experience I received from working at these banks has given a depth of experience in guiding people through their best loan options. After working at these banks I have originated loans as a mortgage banker and broker. At Community Lending Group I continue to enjoy the experience of helping my customers purchase homes or refinance their current home to save money or consolidate.

I have been with Community Lending Group for four years. I have 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry, working as a Loan Processor, Loan Originator, and Principal Lending Manager. I currently hold licenses to originate & process loans in Utah & Idaho.

I began work in finance in 2001 and quickly found that doing mortgages is a perfect fit for me. I’ve been helping people secure financing for their homes ever since. I know that the best way to help my clients is to listen to their needs and expectations, then navigate the multiple loan programs until I find a perfect match for their situation. I work hard to ensure that my clients are happy with their loan, and I bring each loan to closing in a very timely manner.

Doug graduated from Brigham Young University in business, with an emphasis in financial planning. He has worked with multi-million dollar budgets, and takes pleasure in crunching numbers to get what’s deemed “the impossible” done. His aim is to meet his client’s needs with the best available options.
