Nu Steel is owned and operated by experienced manufacturers of bath collections/accessories, barware and housewares with over 35 years in the industry. Nu Steel has a strong advantage over other suppliers due to our capabilities in working with many materials including stainless steel, brass, iron, copper, zinc, resin, aluminum, glass, stone, ceramic and melamine. In addition, we provide design services, sourcing, warehousing and distribution, with factories in China and India along with our newly established facilities in New Jersey.

With over 2,000 bath and body products to our name, our focus is a commitment to natural product formulations leaving harsh chemicals and preservatives out of the mix. And as always, we keep our products close to home by developing and manufacturing all of our personal care products locally in Canada. None of our products or ingredients are ever tested on animals.

Compact Novelties is a 3 rd generation family owned business that has grown from its’ initial start in 1945 as importers and distributors to manufacturer’s representatives. Our vendors offer a full array of housewares and gift products ranging from kitchen gadgets to bath accessories to decorative wall art. We service all forms of retail trade from brick & mortar stores, to mail order catalogs, to internet accounts.

Every product in our homes has one—from a scrub brush to a sponge. They’re designed and manufactured, serve out their purpose, get old and are thrown away. In the US alone, if one scrub brush per household gets thrown out every year, that’s about 120 million brushes ending up in the garbage. Yes, you read that correctly—120 million. And most of them are plastic (petroleum-based plastic) which means it takes about 1000 years before they start to break down. Yes, you also read that correctly—1000 years.
