Description

For over 35 years our professionals have provided companies, just like yours, with consulting, record keeping, administration and actuarial services for their retirement plans. Whether you are starting a new 401k plan, or have a large established retirement plan, we can support your needs.

If the goal is to provide similar benefits to the employees of several companies, a controlled group/affiliated service group relationship can make it more cost-effective to do so. The reason is that since all of the companies in the group must be treated as a single employer for purposes of testing, it is perfectly acceptable to have a single plan covering all of the employees. Through the use of more complex forms of nondiscrimination testing, it might even be possible to provide different benefits to the various companies in the group via a single plan.

Compensation Planning Inc. provides retirement plan administration to more than 500 clients ranging in size from one participant to over two hundred employees. We are proud of our reputation for providing efficient, accurate and affordable services to our clients. We have always been on the cutting edge of plan design to help business owners get the most out of their qualified retirement plan.

There are several reasons we ask about ownership in other companies. We need to determine if there is a controlled group or affiliated service organization, which might require us to aggregate your company with the other related company for purposes of several tests. It is advisable to give us all the information and let us determine if there is an issue you must be concerned with. If your company is to be sold or acquired, or you in turn plan to acquire another company, it is best we be informed as soon as possible so that we can assist you with any retirement planning issues.

Anyone who does not have experience working with an auditor should think twice about representing him or herself. Not only is it prudent to seek counsel from plan service providers before the audit, it is wise to seek their assistance throughout the audit.
