Competition Trailers

Competition Trailers was started in 1989 in Henderson, Texas. The primary owner of Competition Trailers, Sam Harris, has been building trailers for almost 30 years. As a former drag racer, he built an enclosed trailer for himself. His colleagues wanted trailers so he eventually started Chaparral Trailers in Irving, Texas. He sold that business in 1979 and built custom trailers for other applications, then began building racing trailers again in 1985. Competition Trailers has recently purchased the registered trademark "Chaparral" from its last owner. Our other two owners, Ken Evans and Jimmy Barton, have been building custom trailers for 17 years and welcome your calls for information. To help you with designing for your personal application, our engineering and sales people have years of experience and can assist you as needed.
