Competitive Edge Coatings opened its doors in Connecticut on January 1, 2006 with a talented staff of sandblasting and powder coating technicians that take pride in their work. The managing partners, Chris Scutnik and Damon Schuster have 15 years of expertise in the applications of coatings and blasting. Competitive Edge Coatings' shop manager, Mike Burnett brings 13 years of experience in powder coating and sand blasting. The Connecticut Department of Health has approved Competitive Edge Coatings to refinish refrigerator racks and shelving.

Powder coating started out as a finish for metal. Now powder coating is an increasingly popular finish for many of our every day products because it is solvent free. Powder coating gives consumers, businesses and industry and economical, long lasting and durable finish. The appliance industry powder coats such items as dryer drums, water heater jackets and oven components. The automotive industry coats springs, bumpers, wheel, louvers, frames and some of these manufactures are now using powder for primer and final body finish.
