Comp Street offers workers' compensation through AequiCap Program Administrators (APA). APA is a Managing General Underwriter (MGU) that was established in November 1991 to capitalize on AequiCap's expertise, knowledge, and stringent underwriting guidelines of hard to write classes of business within the commercial auto and workers' compensation arena. It was in 1991 that AequiCap started to provide these services for non-affiliated carriers. AequiCap Program Administrators' success is a function of skill, expertise, knowledge, trust and extensive market relationships -- all derived from management's roots in the transportation and business world and their on-going connections within that area. The company maintains a team approach to customer service and account management, so as to provide faster and more appropriate answers to questions and resolution of issues. Teams consist of underwriters, claims adjustors, credit analysts and marketing representatives, all of whom understand the specifics and needs of each relationship and are able to communicate and act more efficiently and consistently. AequiCap Program Administrators represents many different rated and non-rated carriers throughout the United States, which has enabled AequiCap to gain experience in the classes of business they write nationwide.
