Nestled in the majestic surroundings of the Salt Lake valley, CompuSoft Development has been writing accounting and MRP software since 1993 (then known as CompuSoft Management Company) for the manufacturing and distribution sectors. In January of 2002, CompuSoft's name was changed to CompuSoft Development in order to reflect the new direction in product focus. Observing an ever widening gulf between the amount of information companies are able to put into their software system and the ability to extract information for reporting purposes, CompuSoft began focusing exclusively on developing Business Intelligence software. Software systems have evolved in their sophistication and can do more and more to streamline business processes, but the ability to report off of the massive amount of data has not kept pace. Because of the importance of having daily access to data in order to make critical business decisions, various Business Intelligence products have emerged that give companies views into their processes. Those products ship with a wide variety of capabilities, but in the end, most end up being too expensive to purchase and maintain, as well as too complex for the average, non-IT person to create their own reports.
