Description

Founded in 1997 as a “grassroots” organization in East Tampa, the organization has served over 1,200 youth from Hillsborough County and won the Tampa Business Journal Education Non-Profit of the Year for 2011. The organizations primary program is called the STEM Corps High School. The program is designed to encourage youth to seek computer professional careers by providing experience through technology service projects for non-profit organizations. The program is for “at risk” high school aged youth, between the ages of 14 and 18 years old.

Our unique flagship program takes students through phases of development and hands them tools like Microsoft Office Certification; skills in web design, videography and mobile app development; and real-world experience in leadership and project management. This development makes them attractive candidates for internships and employment in the information technology industry.

CMG offers several programs to serve the community. These programs meet our mission to provide opportunities for educational and employment success through bridging the technology divide for populations without sufficient economic resources, especially as it relates to children and youth.
