Description
Computerized Meter Manufacturing Corporation (CMMC) invented the world's first automatic, remotely read electric metering system in the world. CMMC was organized in 1977 for the express purpose of researching, designing, and developing a completely automatic electronic system dedicated to remotely metering utility-delivered products such as electricity, gas, and water. CMMC installed the world’s first commercial, automatic electronic metering system in 1979.
