Concilium is a professional mediation firm composed of lawyers and other professionals specializing in the mediation of a broad range of complex civil litigation, including disputes in the areas of construction, employment, professional liability, torts, general commercial litigation, real and intellectual property, insurance and securities, commodities and derivatives trading. Headquartered in San Francisco's financial district, Concilium serves a national and international clientele. Concilium was founded in 1991, and was conceived to address the problem of our growing reliance, as a society, on adjudicatory processes alone to resolve all our social and economic relationships. This reliance has left little room for the internal restraints that can produce fair and efficient solutions to conflict between individuals, businesses and litigants. The goal of Concilium is to assist counsel, litigants and other disputing parties in achieving the best possible resolution of their disputes. About our name: Concilium is the Latin term for a planned resolution of interests and claims through the mediation of a mutual friend.
