The Student-Athlete Opportunity Fund is intended to provide direct benefits to student-athletes or their families as determined by conference offices. As a guiding principle, the fund shall be used to assist student-athletes in meeting financial needs that arise in conjunction with participation in intercollegiate athletics, enrollment in an academic curriculum or that recognize academic achievement.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Pete Taylor Park, the home of Southern Miss baseball, has long been one of the top collegiate baseball facilities in the country and Southern Miss took another step to ensure that it stays that way for years to come. Southern Miss Athletics is pleased to announce that construction has begun on a 2,400-square foot baseball specific weight room building that will be erected under the grandstand on the third base side. The weight room was designed by Foil Wyatt Architects and Planners PLLC of Jackson, Miss., and constructed by B.W.
