Description

When I was a much younger fellow, the old timers told me, "Mike, if you don't change with the times, you'll get left behind." I smiled and nodded in agreement, but frankly, in my youthful mind set, I didn't get the impact of what they were telling me. Today, if the subject of change comes up, I now tell the young ones, "The only advice I can give you in your business and personal lives is whatever you're doing today will change in the future". Nothing much stays the same, but change gets harder to accept as we age. We refuse to get left behind here at America's Oldest Operating Rice Mill. We continue to change our operation to encompass what change is good and to continue in our traditional methods of operation, where the old ways are still the best ways. We're now the only Certified Gluten Free food manufacturer and the only Non-GMO Project Verified operation in Louisiana. These good changes reflect our consumers desire to know what's in their food and to be able to trust the makers of their food. You can trust our brands to be made only from natural, wholesome, top quality ingredients. All are Certified Gluten Free and to be Non-GMO Verified.

We believe so. Today, we continue to research and develop ways to grow and care for rice in ways to limit the intake of arsenic from the air, water and soil, where it naturally occurs. And, we continue to proactively work with the FDA, the rice industry, scientists and nutritionists as they continue to assess arsenic levels in rice.

The distribution of our products to your local retail outlets is handled by various distribution companies throughout the United States and Canada. To find out which store in your area might be carrying our products, please contact the closest distribution company to your area.

CRM stands by the quality and safety of our products. We are dedicated to providing a wholesome, nutritious and affordable rice to feed our families – and yours. And, we will continue to work with the FDA, the rice industry, scientists and nutritionists as they continue to assess arsenic levels in rice.

Arsenic is naturally occurring in the soil, air and water in the United States. It can be higher in some areas due to previous chemical use, such as former cotton production acreage. Land farmed by CRM has not been previously used for cotton production. Arsenic is absorbed by a number of crops, including fruits, vegetables and grains. But it is not applied as a pesticide in the U.S. We continue to assess the relationship between the rice plant and naturally occurring arsenic, and we continue to work with the FDA, the rice industry, scientists and nutritionists as they assess arsenic levels in rice.
