Thank You To Our Montgomery County Volunteers! Here in Montgomery County, Texas, we have a very special group of individuals that gives of their time, effort, expertise and equipment. We have a Dive Team (law enforcement ) that was founded in 1993 and now is a 15-man team that recovers drowning victims from our area lakes. On of these such victims was a young college student named Chase who lost his life in a boating accident last year. His family has started the "Chaser Foundation" and have donated thousands of dollars to help provide this team with dry suits, and many other pieces of vitally important equipment when recovering a body from Lake Conroe. This has dramatically reduced the time that a family is "wondering" about their loved one. We all want to thank this Dive Team and this foundation for their unselfish help to improve our county. Because of the safety education and the patrols on the lake, the number of drowning victims has dwindled to 1 or 2 per year. When you are out on a lake, don't forget to wear a life jacket and please DON'T DRINK!
