Anaerobic digestion (AD) converts agricultural residues into three usable products; biogas - which can be used to generate heat/ electricity. Farm Energy bio-energy is renewable energy. Like solar, wind, and hydro energy, farm energy comes from a renewable inexhaustible source - manure. The market for farm energy is developing fast. Through anaerobic digestion with the Farm Energy system and combustion of the methane by-product in a diesel generator or gas turbine, manure can be transformed to electrical and thermal energy.
