Description
The Control'd group came into being when our founders, James E Shanel and Harold S Gray left Honeywell in January 1955 and started a wholesale distribution company - Control'd Engineering Supply. At the start, they sold controls from stock carried in their vans. Our first warehouse was located on Washington Street in Wheaton Illinois. This warehouse proved to be too small so in 1958 Control'd moved into our current headquarters located at 299 Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
