We are proud to be a historical part of the Cooke City Montana community . We invite you to learn more about our store history and view some of the amazing photographs of our earlier days. There are many of the original fixtures from the late 1800's that we are still using everyday including the original hand crank cash register. We have put together a photo gallery that shows a lot of the historic items that we still have. Make it a point to come and see one of the oldest General Stores that is still operating . We even sell penny candy! Cooke City is nestled in the Beartooth Mountains only 4 miles from the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone Park (see map at right). In preparation for your visit to Cooke City Montana , we have included a local fishing report with tips for fishing our mountain lakes and streams. We sell Wyoming nonresident fishing licenses and sporting goods that you'll need for your fishing trip. We've put together some of our favorite links that will provide helpful information for planning your trip to our area. Since we are long time members of the Cooke City community , we have many contacts with local residents and property owners.
