I t's not easy to take a new path without love and encouragement, let alone start a business. I was able to take this huge, life-changing step thanks to my husband Jim, who thought my cookies were the best he'd ever tasted. My sister, family, friends, taste testers, all my first original customers and Helen who were the cheering section. Thanks to my Mom, who taught me that everything comes in stride; to my seventh grade teacher Lois Matheson, who taught me lessons I have used each day of my life; to my absolute favorite college instructor, Mike Cardone, whose passion for English and teaching inspired me to always look at everything with the heart of a poet and never to miss a deadline. An extra special note of appreciation belongs to my Dad, who set the course when I was just a little kid.
