The history of our funeral homes date back many years. The Aaker Funeral Home was founded in 1918 as the Graham Funeral Home. The Stanley-Iverson Funeral Home was founded in 1949 as the Wonder Funeral Home. Each has its' own story and contribution to their community over the years. We could explain in great detail the history of these firms, but it would be too lengthy for your internet inquiry. The Cooperstown Funeral Chapel does not have much history, but we have to start somewhere. The history we want to share with you is the history about us; the people who have come to work together, making our funeral homes meet the needs of the families we serve.

Today we are constantly trying to provide more meaningful services. Ryan, Dan, and Jeremy continually brainstorm and research ideas of what we can do better, how we can provide more, and always make our families a top priority. Our history may seem limited if you consider when we started, but the level of service we provide will be a part of funeral service history.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.

Our charge for a direct cremation includes removal of remains, transportation to crematory, necessary authorizations, crematory fee and basic services of staff. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, prior to the cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without outside covering). The containers we provide are fiberboard/cardboard boxes.
