It all began when Penny, a former model, decided to open a boutique after much urging from her friends, whom were tired of traveling to large cities to find designer clothing. She decided to make her dream a reality by offering Charleston a boutique that specializes in impeccable customer service as well as unique, stylish clothing. What began as a small boutique in 1986 with a staff of two is now a family business run by Penny, her husband and three sons. Copper Penny has grown to three clothing locations, two shoe stores and a bridal salon. Step inside and you will be delighted by colorful displays and an upbeat, friendly atmosphere. Copper Penny clothing boutiques offer hard to find designers such as M Missoni, Trina Turk, Nanette Lepore, Tocca, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Milly. Copper Penny has been voted Charleston's favorite boutique for three years in a row by City Paper. Each member of our staff has their own unique style that makes up a wonderfully refreshing atmosphere.
