The origins of our medical group date back to 1952 when Dr. Milford Wyman established what was to become a premier cardiology group based in the Los Angeles Harbor region of the South Bay. Similarly, Dr. Gary Kissel founded a group based in the Torrance and beach areas of the South Bay. Later these two groups merged to become what is now known as COR Healthcare Medical Associates. The Name "COR" comes from the Latin name for heart. The group has grown at a steady rate, expanding its services and expertise. Today COR Healthcare Medical Associates is the largest cardiology group in the South Bay.
