Founded in Freeport, Ill., in 1979 by Robert Stroup, Cord Construction initially focused on design/build projects for industrial clients. In the early 1980s, the firm relocated to Rockford, Ill. Today, with Craig Erdmier as its President and co-owner, Cord Construction is a leading contractor in the region, providing construction services to a large variety of clients, from start-ups to large corporations.
