STEVEN M. COREN was admitted to the Bar in 1978 for New York State Courts and United States District Courts, and later gained admission to practice before the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court. He is a long standing member of the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section and its Litigation Section. As a member of the New York State Bar Association Labor Law Section, he has served on the subcommittee for Alternate Dispute Resolution. Prior to his legal career, he served as a personnel admininstrator at the division headquarters of a national retail department store operation and later served as a manpower consultant for a New York State transportation and highway agency. During his legal studies, he clerked for a local court judge, two small litigation law firms and became an associate with the national known labor law firm of Jackson Lewis et al . Later, he took a position as in-house counsel for the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) providing representation in discrimination and human resources matters as well as becoming one of the network representatives for the Saturday Night Live show. Since 1979, he has managed his own firm having an emphasis in practice in labor law, human resources and labor relations. Mr. Coren is a 1972 graduate of Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
