The majority of those years were spent at IBM, where he spent 3 years teaching consultative selling skills at IBM's Marketing Education organization located in Atlanta, GA. It was there that his interest in organizational effectiveness - people, performance, and helping individuals excel was sparked. While skills can be taught and are a critical link in the chain, ultimately a deciding factor in determining an individual's success begins with proper job fit. Similarly, an organization's success hinges on it's ability to identify, attract, and retain top talent.
